Mary Karauri

Former Intern

Mary Nkatha Karauri joined UNRISD in September 2007 as an intern. She joined the Poverty Reduction and Policy Regimes project and undertook research that investigates the relationship between structural transformation, and indicators of poverty and well-being. She previously assisted in media outreach support and website, intranet development at the UNRISD Press Office.
Mary has an MSc in Social Statistics from the University of Nairobi, Kenya. Her thesis was on the "A cointegrated VAR model for structural change and economic growth in Kenya". She is also an alumni student of the University of Toronto in Canada where she studied her undergraduate degree in Statistics, Math and Philosophy.
