Julia Gin

Former Web Communications Consultant

Julia Gin joined UNRISD as the Web Communications Consultant in July 2010. Prior to this, she worked at UC Berkeley as a researcher for the Peace and Conflict Studies Department focusing on global conflict resolution. Before moving to Geneva, she completed her first year of law school with a focus in international law at Santa Clara University. She spent the summer of 2010 at ICC and ICTY at The Hague doing a course on international criminal law and in Geneva for courses on international public law, humanitarian law, and international organizations law. She interned for UNRISD's Press Office and Publications & Dissemination Unit from 2007-2008.
Julia has a BA degree in International Politics from UC Berkeley. There, she was a Teaching Assistant for courses on international conflict resolution and HTML/JavaScript programming. As part of her studies she spent time at Cambridge University and Stanford University. Julia was on the Executive Board of Directors of the UNA-USA, East Bay Chapter, created and taught a course on “Global Ills & Dilemmas of the United Nations” for the UC Berkeley Peace and Conflict Studies Department, and has a Certificate for General Management from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
