Conference Registration Open: Potential and Limits of Social and Solidarity Economy
UNRISD is holding a public conference on Social and Solidarity Economy (SSE) on 6-8 May 2013, in collaboration with the ILO and UN-NGLS. Registration is now open to join this opportunity to discuss the potential and limits of Social and Solidarity Economy, meaning forms of production and exchange that have both economic and social objectives and involve varying degrees of cooperation, association and solidarity. Other values and objectives such as democratic and participatory decision making and environmental justice are also often prominent features of SSE.

The conference aims to raise the visibility of debates about Social and Solidarity Economy within the United Nations system and beyond, and contribute to thinking in international policy circles about a post-2015 development agenda.

To register and for more details, please see the conference web page.
