UNRISD Deputy Director to participate in the ESRC workshop on “CSR and development” at Middlesex University in London

UNRISD Deputy Director, Peter Utting, will participate in the ESRC (Economic and Social Research Council) workshop on “Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and development”, at Middlesex University in London, on 1 December 2008.

Peter will present along with Thomas Dodd, from the CSR Team of the European Commission in Brussels, the topic of “CSR and development: The Policy and Societal Perspective” at the Exploring the Boundaries Workshop.

Several experts from a variety of academic and corporate backgrounds will gather at the workshop to explore CSR and Development from a Policy and Societal Perspective and to discuss to what extent companies can contribute to the UN Millenium Development Goals.
