UNRISD Research Coordinator to speak at a “Series of Lectures on Social Protection in an African Developing Context” in Stockholm

UNRISD Research Coordinator, Katja HUJO, will give a presentation on ‘Financing Social Policy: Mobilizing Resources for Social Development’ at the Institute for Futures Studies, Holländargatan 13, Stockholm on 9 September 2009 at 10:30.

Her presentation will be based on the newly released book entitled, Financing Social Policy (2009), The book shifts the policy debates beyond examining expenditures and austerity, to revenues and resources. It examines financing options that would be conducive to social development, creating and strengthening sustainable social programmes that work together with economic policies.
