UNRISD Research Coordinator, Shahra Razavi, is presenting on social security in a comparative perspective 2-4 November 2009 in a symposium organized by the Amsterdam School for Social Science Research in the Netherlands.

Razavi’s presentation is part of the School’s seminar on social care arrangements in a historical perspective. Razavi coordinates UNRISD’s ongoing research in gender and development, including the political and social economy of care project.

The Amsterdam School for Social Science Research is a graduate institution of the Faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences at the University of Amsterdam. The school concentrates on social science research in a historical, comparative and empirical perspective with a focus on Western Europe and South and Southeast Asia.
