UNRISD Research Coordinator Speaking at Gender, Rural Development and Nutrition Conference in Geneva

UNRISD Research Coordinator Shahra Razavi is speaking in the Gender, Rural Development and Nutrition conference held at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies (GIIDS) in Geneva on 28 October at 10.15 a.m. in the Bungener Room.

Razavi’s presentation, entitled “Agrarian Change: The Missing Gender Dimension”, will draw on research from her Engendering the Political Economy of Agrarian Change paper published in the Journal of Peasant Studies in 2009.

The presentation is part of the Unequal Agricultural Development, Undernourishment and Gender panel session. Participants in that session include Barbara Harriss-White of Oxford University; and Marcel Mazoyer, professor at the University of Paris XI.
