UNRISD Research Coordinator Yusuf Bangura will present the 2010 Flagship Report,
Combating Poverty and Inequality: Structural Change, Social Policy and Politics on 29 November at 9.30 a.m in Abuja, Nigeria at the Denis Hotel.
Respondents to the presentation include Hajia Amina Az-Zubair, Senior Assistant to the President of Nigeria on the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs); Otive Igbuzor, Director of the Center for Leadership Strategy Development; and Maureen Lance-Onyeiwu of the United Nations Development Fund for Women (UNIFEM).
The event is set to assess Nigeria’s current poverty reduction schemes and practices. Panelists will discuss the Poverty Report’s findings in relation to unemployment, inequality, and gender struggles in Nigeria.
