Social Protection in Asia Research Findings Published

25 Feb 2011

A series of reports with research findings and policy lessons from the Social Protection in Asia (SPA) research programme have been published. The Centre for Social Protection at the Institute of Development Studies has posted the full reports, as well as two-page report summaries. Both are available for download.

The 13 reports examine such topics as the implication of rural-urban migration for social protection in Vietnam and China, conditional cash transfers’ effect on women in Indonesia, and access to housing as a form of social protection in Pakistan.

Prior to joining UNRISD, Director Sarah Cook led the SPA for the Institute of Development Studies. The SPA is funded by the Ford Foundation and the International Development Research Centre.
