UNRISD Director Participates in Inter-Agency Technical Meeting in Turin

UNRISD Director Sarah Cook will participate in the Inter-Agency Technical Meeting on “Building Employment and Decent Work into Sustainable Recovery and Development: The UN Contribution” on 29 November at 3.45 p.m. in Turin, Italy at the International Labour Organisation (ILO)’s International Training Center.

Cook will speak during the “Policy Framework for Growth, Employment and Social Cohesion” expert panel session along with members of the ILO and the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

The meeting is co-organized by the ILO and United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UNDESA). Discussions will focus on policy responses to the challenges regarding recognized and paid employment in low income countries; the status of youth in the labour market; and innovations in public employment programmes.
