Carl-Johan Hedberg

Former Research Assistant

Carl-Johan Hedberg worked at UNRISD as Yusuf Bangura’s research assistant. Before joining UNRISD in the autumn of 2004 Carl-Johan received a scholarship financed by the Swedish International Development cooperation Agency (SIDA) and undertook two months of field research on democracy and policymaking in Ghana.
He holds a MSc degree in Economics from Stockholm University where he also studied Political Science focusing on democratization in the developing world. Carl-Johan has also studied in the United Kingdom and in France. Research interest includes comparative research on democratization and on the political economy of social policy.

Carl-Johan left UNRISD in the autumn of 2006.
