Michelle J. Budig

Michelle J. Budig collaborated with UNRISD on the flagship report Combating Poverty and Inequality (2010) for which she wrote a background thematic paper, How Care Work Employment Shapes Earnings in a Cross-National Perspective, in collaboration with Joya Misra. At the time of this collaboration, Budig was an Associate Professor at the Department of Sociology, and Faculty Research Associate at the Social and Demographic Research Institute, University of Massachusetts, United States. Her main research areas include gender inequality in labour markets, work and family conflict, feminist theory, contingent labour and self-employment.
