Artis Pabriks

Former Collaborating Researcher

Artis Pabriks collaborated with UNRISD for the project Ethnic Structure, Inequality and Governance of the Public Sector, from 2002 to 2005. At the time of this collaboration, Pabriks was Associate Professor of Political Science at Vidzeme University College, Latvia. He obtained a degree in history from the University of Latvia in 1992. In 1996 he received a Ph.D. in political science from the University of Aarhus, Denmark.
His main research fields are nationalism, ethnic policy, and security studies. He has been a Deputy member for Latvia in the Council of Europe in the Committee against Intolerance and Racism (ECRI) since 2003.
