Megan McLaughlin collaborated with UNRISD on the project Migration and Health in China, for which she co-authored a paper on The Influence of Migration on the Burden of and Response to Infectious Disease Threats in China: A Theoretically Informed Review. At the time of her collaboration, McLaughlin was at the University of North Carolina (UNC) Project-China, Guangzhou, China; as well as at the Sun Yat-sen University Center for Migrant Health Policy, Guangzhou, China.
