Ananya Mukherjee-Reed
Collaborating Researcher
Ananya Mukherjee-Reed collaborated with UNRISD on the project Potential and Limits of Social and Solidarity Economy, for which she co-authored a paper. Earlier, she also collaborated on the project Non-State Business Regulation for Social Development (2005 to 2009). As part of this project, she co-edited the book Business Regulation and Non-State Actors: Whose Standards? Whose Development (2012), for which she also co-authored a chapter entitled “From Non-State Regulation to Governance? Shifting the Site of Contestation”.
At an UNRISD workshop in 2006, Mukherjee-Reed presented a co-authored paper “Corporate Social Responsibility, Public-Private Partnerships and Human Development: Towards a New Agenda (and Beyond)”.
At the time of her most recent collaboration with UNRISD, Mukherjee-Reed was a Professor and Chair for the department of Political Science and Founding-Director of the International Secretariat for Human Development (ISHD) at York University. Mukherjee-Reedhas aPhD in Economics and Public Policy and a Masters in Economics. Her areas of specialization include: critical political economy/development, critical approaches to comparative social science and corporate capitalism and development.
