Byung-jin Ha

Former Intern (Research)

Byung-jin Ha worked at UNRISD from January 2008 to July 2008 as a research intern with Dr. Naren Prasad on two research projects entitled "Impact of Privatization of Public Services on the Poor" and "Social policies in Small States." He also assisted in the "Social Policy Index (SPI)" project.

Previously, Byung-jin worked at the Korean Institute for International Economic Policy where he researched the possibility of Korea's membership in the Inter-American Development Bank under a project commissioned by the Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade. Also, he served as researcher for the Peace Island Foundation of Massachusetts in Boston.

He holds two masters degrees, one in International Affairs from the Elliott School of International Affairs at George Washington University and the other in Latin American Studies from the Hankuk University of Foreign Studies in Korea where he earned his BA in Spanish.

His research interests include international development, conflict resolution, and human rights.
