Ana Amélia Camarano

Former Collaborating Researcher

Ana Amélia Camarano collaborated with UNRISD for the project Ageing, Development and Social Protection, 2001-2003. At the time of her collaboration, she was an Economist for the Brazilian Government, co-ordinating the Research Group on Family and Population at the Applied Economic Research (IPEA) of the Planning Ministry. She was also Lecturer at the National School of Statistics and at the Cândido Mendes University, Brazil.
She has worked on the topic of ageing since 1999 and edited the volume Muito Além dos 60: Os novos idosos brasileiros, (Beyond the Sixties: The New Brazilian Elderly).
