Alexandra Kaasch is a collaborating researcher on the New Directions in Social Policy project. She also collaborated with UNRISD for the project inception workshop for New Directions in Social Policy, 2014. For the workshop, she wrote the draft paper “The New Politics of Crisis Management: Global Voices on the Role of Social Policies".
At the time of her collaboration, Alexandra Kaasch is a junior professor in transnational social policy at the University of Bielefeld (Germany). She has been involved in comparative and global social policy research. Among her latest publications is 'Transformations in Global and Regional Social Policies' (edited with Paul Stubbs), and she is editor of the Global Social Policy Digest.
