Rebecca Varghese Buchholz

Former Research Analyst

Rebecca Varghese Buchholz was a Research Analyst at UNRISD from May 2008 to June 2010. She worked in the Markets, Business and Regulation research programme and coordinated the UNRISD conference on the “Social and Political Dimensions of the Global Crisis: Implications for Developing Countries”, held in 2009.
As part of the Markets, Business and Regulation programme, she assisted in research on the role of business in poverty reduction and the politics of regulatory change associated with corporate accountability.

Prior to UNRISD, she assisted with research at the Food and Agricultural Organization and the Business and Human Rights Resource Centre.

She holds an MPhil in Development Studies from the University of Cambridge and a BA (hons) in Development Studies and Economics from the School of Oriental and African Studies.
