Michele Marzuin Tan

Former Research Assistant

Michele joined UNRISD in August 2002 and worked primarily on the project Ethnic Structure, Inequality and Governance of the Public Sector.
After receiving an MA in International Studies from the University of Leeds, she joined the Singapore Foreign Service before leaving to work in Japan. Prior to joining UNRISD, she spent a year as a nomad. She was active on issues pertaining to ethnicity, governance and small arms proliferation, and speaks French, Chinese, Japanese and “Shakespearean” Arabic.
