Ye Jin Lee

Former Intern (Research)

Yejin joined UNRISD in January 2018 to assist Research Coordinator Ilcheong Yi and Research Analyst Suyeon Lee with the Social and Solidarity Economy (SSE) programme and in particular with the project: The Case of Social Economy in Seoul, South Korea.

Currently, Yejin is pursuing dual Master’s degrees in Development Studies (Graduate Institute, Geneva, 2018) and Global Health (UNIGE, 2019). Her thesis research is focusing on international development assistance for health in DPRK. Her primary research interests include development assistance, conflict and peacebuilding, global health governance and social economy in East Asia. She speaks English, Korean, Chinese, French and Japanese.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from Peking University, with minors in Japanese and Regional Studies for East Asia. In addition to her undergraduate studies in Beijing, she has also exchanged at Sciences Po. Paris in 2015.
