Joya Misra

Joya Misra collaborated with UNRISD on the flagship report Combating Poverty and Inequality (2010) for which she wrote a background thematic paper, How Care Work Employment Shapes Earnings in a Cross-National Perspective in collaboration with Michelle Budig. At the time of this collaboration, Misra was Professor of Sociology and Public Policy of University of Massachusetts, United States.
Her research primarily focuses on inequality, class, race/ethnicity, nationality, citizenship and the intersections of these statuses.
