Brett Scott

Former Collaborating Researcher

Brett Scott participated in UNRISD's workshop on Social and Solidarity Finance in May 2015, for which he wrote a paper, How Can Cryptocurrency and Blockchain Technology Play a Role in Building Social and Solidarity Finance?
At the time of his collaboration, he was an independent researcher and consultant on alternative finance and financial reform. He is the author of The Heretic’s Guide to Global Finance: Hacking the Future of Money (Pluto Press: 2013). He is a senior fellow of the Finance Innovation Lab in London, writes for publications such as The Guardian and appears as a commentator on media channels like the BBC.
