Suroor Alikhan

Suroor Alikhan was UNRISD Associate Editor from September 2002 through September 2016. She was responsible for producing UNRISD papers and other publications, including the eBulletin. She was also the focal point for the UNRISD website.

Prior to joining UNRISD, she was with the UN Non-Governmental Liaison Service (NGLS) where she worked on the publication of a wide range of information materials on economic and social development issues.

In the early 1980s, Suroor also worked with the publications department of the International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT) in her home town of Hyderabad in India.

Suroor has a Master’s Degree in Mass Communication from the University of Leicester.
