Khoo Boo Teik

Khoo Boo Teik collaborated with UNRISD for the project Ethnic Structure, Inequality and Governance of the Public Sector from 2002 to 2005; project Poverty Reduction and Policy Regimes and Flagship report: Combating Poverty and Inequality from 2006-2010. He authored two programme papers for UNRISD. At the time of his collaboration with UNRISD, he was Associate Professor at the School of Social Sciences, Universiti Sains Malaysia, Penang.
Khoo is the author of Paradoxes of Mahathirism: An Intellectual Biography of Mahathir Mohamad (Oxford University Press 1995) and Beyond Mahathir: Malaysian Politics and its Discontents (Zed Books 2003). In past years, he has collaborated with researchers from several countries in internationally funded research projects on social, economic and political change in Asia.
