Felipe J. Hevia collaborated with UNRISD on the platform, Linking Social Protection and Human Rights, for which he wrote an expert commentary. At the time of his collaboration with UNRISD, he was a researcher at the Center for Research and Higher Studies in Social Anthropology (CIESAS) in Mexico.
