Anup Dash

Former Collaborating Researcher

Anup Dash collaborated with UNRISD for the project Potential and Limits of Social and Solidarity Economy, for which he wrote a draft paper, "Towards an Epistemological Foundation for Social and Solidarity Economy". In May 2015, he participated in the UNRISD workshop on Social and Solidarity Finance: Tensions, Opportunities and Transformative Potential, where he was a speaker.
At the time of his collaboration with UNRISD, Anup Dash was Professor in Sociology at Utkal University, Bhubaneswar, India, and Member-Secretary of the Center for Youth and Social Development (CYSD), a leading NGDO in India. His current interests, in research and practice, include social economy, self-help groups and microfinance, civic action, volunteering and active citizenship, decentralization, development and impact.
