Alexander Kraemer
Former Collaborating Researcher
Alexander Kraemer was part of the research team for the project Migration and Health in China. At the time of his collaboration, Krämer was Professor of Public Health and Chair of the Department of Public Health Medicine, School of Public Health, University of Bielefeld, Germany.
Krämer’s research interests comprise the fields of infectious disease epidemiology, migrant health, global and national burden of disease studies, setting projects like "Health in megacities" and "Health at institutions of higher education" and recently the topics "violence and health" and the impact of climate change on health. He is author of 200 articles most of them published in peer-reviewed international journals and editor of several books. Krämer has experience in the management and successful scientific conduct of multinational studies within Europe and further internationally (currently particularly in South Asia and China).
