Andrew Nickson

Andrew Nickson collaborated with UNRISD for the project Poverty Reduction and Policy Regimes (2007-2010) and the flagship report Combating Poverty and Inequality (2006-2010), for which he wrote a paper on 'Managerial reforms and developmental state capacity. His other publications include: Public Sector Management Reform in Latin America in Bangura & Larbi (eds.) Public Sector Management Reform in Developing Countries. UNRISD & Palgrave (2006) and Managing change in local governance (co-editor) (2006) Commonwealth Secretariat.
At the time of his collaboration, Nickson was a Reader in Public Management and Latin American Development in the International Development Department at the University of Birmingham, UK. Nickson holds an MA in Economics from the University of Cambridge.
