Philomena Okeke-Ihejirika

Former Collaborating Researcher

Dr. Philomena Okeke-Ihejirika co-authored the UNRISD working paper "Migrant Nurses and Care Workers Rights in Canada", a draft of which was presented at an UNRISD workshop in September 2015. The workshop was jointly hosted with the Worldwide Universities Network, entitled "Addressing Multiple Forms of Migrant Precarity: Beyond 'Management' of Migration to an Integrated Rights-Based Approach". At the time of her collaboration she was a full professor in the Women's Studies Program at the University of Alberta, Canada. Dr. Okeke's research focuses on gender and development in Africa, and international migration and settlement.
