Debbie Budlender

Debbie Budlender collaborated with UNRISD and was part of the South African and Tanzanian research team for the project on The Political and Social Economy of Care (2006-2009), for the project she authored the programme paper: A Critical Review of Selected Time Use Surveys (2007) and Time Use Studies and Unpaid Care Work, Routledge (2010).

Budlender also collaborated for the flagship report: combating Poverty and Inequality (2006-2010). At the time of her collaboration with UNRISD, she was a specialist researcher with the Community Agency for Social Enquiry (CASE), a South African non-governmental organization working in the area of social policy research. Debbie Budlender has worked for CASE since 1988.
