Natalija Kasatkina

Former Collaborating Researcher

Natalija Kasatkina collaborated with UNRISD for the project Ethnic Structure, Inequality and Governance of the Public Sector, 2002-2005. At the time of this collaboration, Kasatkina was Head of the Department of Ethnic Studies, Institute for Social Research, Lithuania Association; Professor at the Department of Political Science at the Vytautas Magnus University, Lithuania.
The scope of her scientific interests encompasses sociology of nationalism, methodology of studies of ethnic processes, issues of minorities, research of new Russian Diasporas, ethnic and racial hatred, migration, sociology of political science. She is a founder of the Open Society Fund – Lithuania, member of the Board of the OSF (1990–2000). Natalija Kasatkina is an author and co-author of four monographs and more than 40 scientific articles.
