Onalenna Doo Selolwane

Former Board Member

Onalenna Selolwane was a member of the UNRISD Board from July 2013 through June 2019.
She was is Senior Lecturer at the University of Botswana.

Ms. Selolwane collaborated with UNRISD for projects Ethnic Structure, Inequality and Governance of the Public Sector, 2002-2005; Poverty Reduction and Policy Regimes, 2007-2010; and UNRISD Flagship Report: Combating Poverty and Inequality, 2006-2010. She published an Occasional Paper "Gendered Spaces in Party Politics in Southern Africa: Progress and Regress since Beijing 1995", 2006.

She was Head of the Department of Sociology, University of Botswana, from 1998 to 2003. She was also Second Vice President of the Executive Committee of the African Sociological Association; and a team member of the Electoral Institute for Sustainable Democracy in Africa.
