María Angélica Alegría Calvo

Maria-Angelica Alegria Calvo collaborated with UNRISD for project Commercialization, Privatization and Universal Access to Water, 2003-2004. For the project , she co-authored a programme paper Historia del sector sanitario chileno: De la gestión estatal hasta el proceso de privatización, 2006.
At the time of her collaboration, she was the Chief Engineer of the Water Resources Evaluation Area in the National Directorate for Water within the Ministry of Public Infrastructure, Transport and Telecommunications in Chile. She was also in charge of the project “Culture of Water” and the relationship with indigenous communities. She is member of the Steering Committee and representative for Latin America of the Gender & Water Alliance.
