Susan Joekes

Former Collaborating Researcher

Susan Joekes collaborated with UNRISD as external Research Coordinator for the project Women, Environment and Population, 1991-1994, an UNRISD's Contribution to the Fourth World Conference on Women, for which she wrote an Occasional Paper Trade-Related Employment for Women in Industry and Services in Developing Countries, 1995.
At the time of this collaboration , Susan was a fellow at the Institute of Development Studies, University of Sussex, United Kingdom. Her areas of specialization include gender issues, especially as they relate to employment, local environmental resource management and the international economy.
