Paramita Dutta

Research Analyst

Paramita Dutta joined UNRISD’s Bonn office in May 2020. Prior to UNRISD, Paramita worked at the United Nations System Staff College (UNSSC) where she designed and delivered programmes to facilitate learning and training needs of UN staff and partners working towards the implementation of the 2030 Agenda.
Her previous professional experiences include working for the Government of India at The National Institute of Urban Affairs (NIUA), where she conducted research for a pan India project titled ‘Making Child-Friendly Smart Cites in India’. She also worked at The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) in New Delhi where she implemented programmes on youth education and training of trainers for sustainable development. Paramita is recipient of scholarship from the Government of Germany for a leadership programme of young professionals on Education for Sustainable Development. As a part of the programme, she completed an internship at Rhodes University in South Africa.

Paramita holds a Masters in Public Policy (MPP) from the Hertie School of Governance in Berlin and a Master of Arts (MA) in Political Science from the University of Delhi. She is fluent in English, Hindi, Urdu, Assamese and Bengali.
