Workshop on Identity, Power and Rights: The State, International Institutions and Indigenous Peoples
Date: 26 - 27 Jul 2006
This workshop, the first of two under this project, was held to discuss the structure of this study, which will theoretically and empirically trace the structure and interlocking nature of state and international organizations, and analyze how these links impact on the identity, rights, and livelihood of indigenous communities. The aim of the workshop was to secure feedback on the project proposal from experts on indigenous peoples working in international organisations and NGOs.
