Culture and Development

The purpose of this project was to promote better understanding of the relationship between culture and development through research, publications and conferences and to encourage the adoption of appropriate policies in this field. Some of the specific topics covered include: cultural indicators of development; globalization and cultural diversity; cultural and social impact of communications; and culture and economic growth.
The project was carried out in collaboration with UNESCO.
