The UNRISD project on Gender, Poverty and Well-being seeks to provide an empirically grounded basis for understanding the gender-differentiated social processes leading to poverty. The project's first international workshop was held in Trivandrum, Kerala, India, in collaboration with the Centre for Development Studies (Trivandrum) and the UNDP.
