Conference Report: The Challenge of Rebuilding War-Torn Societies
Report of the UNRISD Working Seminar at Cartigny, Geneva, 29 November-1 December 1994
The War-torn Societies project aims to assist the international donor community, international organisations, NGOs, local authorities and grassroots organisationsto understand and respond better to the complex challenges or rebuilding war-torn societies.
Eight carefully chosen participants met over 29 November to 1 December 1994 in a working seminar at the Centre de Rencontres at Cartigny to give their views on the Project's research process, its methodology, organisation, data base, and proposals to link institutions, agencies and individuals presently involved in efforts to rebuild war-torn societies in a global network.
