The New Agrarian Technology and India
This publication was part of the Institute’s project studying attempts to introduce Green Revolution technology in rural areas of 26 countries. The project focused on the critical role of existing agrarian institutions in determining the impact of the new agricultural technology on rural people, and highlighted the effects of the introduction of high-yielding varieties of foodgrain on small cultivators.
